Basic Information
The connecting rod is a joint part, mostly composed of steel, the main part of its cross-section is mostly round or I-beam, with holes at both ends, the holes are equipped with bronze bushings or needle bearings, for fitting into the shaft pin and constitute the articulation. Its role is to change the reciprocating motion of the piston into the rotary motion of the crankshaft, and the force acting on the piston to the crankshaft to output power.
